Redeemed ("we", "our", or "us") is operated by Applify Lab Inc. We built this app to help people on their path to recovery. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the Redeemed mobile application ("App").

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly and limited information generated automatically by your use of the App.

Information you provide:

• Account details (email address, name) when you sign up
• Sobriety start date and streak information
• Daily check-in responses (mood, triggers, notes)
• Messages sent to the AI companion
• Community posts and comments you choose to share
• Support requests and communications with our team

Information collected automatically:

• Device type and operating system version
• App version and session timestamps
• Crash reports and error logs (anonymized)
• General usage patterns (e.g., which features are used most)

We do not collect precise location, contacts, camera or microphone data unless you explicitly grant those permissions for a specific feature.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to provide and improve Redeemed:

• To create and manage your account
• To personalize your recovery experience and streak tracking
• To power the AI companion conversations
• To send you optional notifications (check-in reminders, milestone alerts)
• To respond to your support requests
• To identify and fix bugs, and improve app performance
• To comply with our legal obligations

We do not use your data for advertising, sell it to third parties, or share it with data brokers.

4. AI Companion

The AI companion in Redeemed is powered by a third-party large language model. Messages you send to the companion may be transmitted to the AI provider to generate responses. These messages are used only to produce your reply and are not used to train models or stored by the provider beyond the immediate session, per our data processing agreement.

Do not share information you would consider medically sensitive with the companion, as it is not a licensed healthcare provider.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database platform with encryption at rest and in transit (TLS). We apply industry-standard security practices including access controls and regular security reviews.

While no system is 100% secure, we take your data security seriously. If a breach occurs that affects your personal data, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.

6. Third-Party Services

We use a limited number of trusted third-party services to operate Redeemed:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and storage
• Apple Sign In / Google Sign In — optional authentication
• Expo — app infrastructure and push notifications
• AI provider — powering the Hope and Companion chat features

Each of these providers has their own privacy policy. We only share with them the data necessary for the specific service they provide.

7. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights over your personal data including:

• Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correction: Ask us to update inaccurate information
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Portability: Receive your data in a machine-readable format
• Opt-out: Disable push notifications at any time in your device settings

8. Children's Privacy

Redeemed is not intended for children under the age of 17. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 17. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via the App or by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
